Vince Zampella, Has Passed Away in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in California aged 55.

Zampella's death was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the parent company of Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The renowned industry figure died after his automobile collided and burst into flames on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"This represents an unimaginable loss, and our hearts are with his family and friends, his loved ones, and everyone impacted by his creative vision," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
